Pointless (at least on Windows platform) - Windows has built-in antivirus since 2013. While we are at the subject of downloads, I would love to be able to disable the warning prompt for downloads even if that option is burried somewhere in flags or advanced settings.Īnnoying - It is totally indiscriminate (for example it warns you that NVIDIA driver setup can harm your computer), and IMO it just leads to user fatigue, which in turn leads to user being trained to click Keep / OK / Yes buttons without thinking. There is a Von’s grocery in town, you can buy plenty of gluten free foods and snacks to keep in your room and fridge. What I did the other days is what I recommended doing. Looking at the large menu, I find it difficult to believe that none of it would be safe if only the waitress was motivated enough to ask and explore with the kitchen, which she very clearly was not. It came with croutons and I’m pretty sure they didn’t re-do the whole thing because it came back out very quickly, even though I did explain that it would need to be re-made completely. By the 3rd day I had to risk it and I ordered a salmon salad with no croutons. I skipped dinner that day and ate some snacks and popcorn purchased from the lobby. First day I explained that I have celiac disease and asked what I could eat and she literally said, “even if they say they will change something they won’t”. If you aren’t a celiac then the restaurant is fine. Not great things were the empty hot tub and the restaurant. You can purchase snacks and drinks in the front lobby area, including alcohol and popcorn. Our room also had a refrigerator and a microwave. Great things about the hotel were free shuttles to and from the Catalina express and free shuttles to and from town. This trip, we stayed at The Catalina Canyon Inn. This time I went for a bachelorette and we enjoyed nights out on the town, a cabana at the beach club and hanging out at the pool at our hotel. About 10 years ago I went with my family and we had a great time doing water activities and zip-lining. That's something we couldn't get done all last year. I've been swinging a lot recently and the elbow feels like it's finally moving the way it's supposed to move. | /6y5ZlzEZJp- MLB Network FebruDodgers' Max Muncy provides update on his injured elbow The 2x All-Star joined #HighHeat to discuss his offseason training priorities, a health update entering Spring Training and more. Max Muncy is gearing up for Year 6 at Chavez Ravine. On a more positive note, however, Muncy provided an update on his elbow this week that could be a game-changer for the 2023 Dodgers - something the team was undoubtedly hoping for. More than half of those home runs and RBI came in his final 53 games. He had a dreadful four months to begin the year, and even with inflated August/September showings, he still finished slashing. that's exactly what happened! Muncy didn't start picking up the slack until August. There was no chance he'd be ready in time, and even if he was, it would've taken him months to return to a semblance of his former self. That alone threw the 2022 season off course. Then, just weeks before spring training, Muncy revealed on MLB Network that he'd suffered a partially-torn UCL and that he was behind in his rehab. It was initially reported he could return for the NLCS or World Series if the Dodgers made it, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Fans were kept in the dark about his injury for most of the playoffs/offseason, too. Muncy should've never been playing in that game, but what's done is done. And it was all because he suffered a UCL tear in Game 162 during the 2021 season because the fraudulent Giants just had to win 107 games with a roster that overachieved in frustrating fashion. The biggest adverse effect on the Dodgers' 2022 roster was Max Muncy's fall from Team MVP in 2021 to replacement-level player the very next year. But all of that caught up to them in the postseason when they fell to the San Diego Padres in the NLDS. You don’t want to be 100% locked in during the spring. In spite of a number of individual performances that undoubtedly held the team back, the Los Angeles Dodgers won a franchise record 111 games in 2023. “I’m still working on timing, but I feel like I’m right where I want to be. “The swing and the bat path, I’m 100% there,” Muncy said earlier this week. The feeling in the batter’s box has as well. The move to third base, a position where he made 80 starts last season and has grown more comfortable with this spring, has helped. “It’s too painful,” he said.īut he has put the injury behind him. Muncy hasn’t watched a replay of the first-base collision that cost him the 2021 postseason and marred 2022. I had to revamp my swing last year, and now we’re un-revamping it to get it simpler again.” “Even though it worked for me last year, I know that it’s not going to be the best solution for me. “I needed to forget everything that I did, because I didn’t want to do that going forward,” Muncy said. Though he had success with the step-back move, he knew it wasn’t sustainable. 842 OPS, 12 homers, 13 doubles and 38 RBIs during his final 57 games, but once the season ended, he hit the delete key on those final two months. It’s not so much Muncy’s solid numbers - he entered the final weekend of exhibition play with a. The Dodgers are confident that Muncy, after a healthy winter with a normal workout regimen and a trip to Driveline to increase his bat speed, will return to pre-injury form, which would help ease the loss of Trea Turner and Justin Turner to free agency, and Gavin Lux to a knee injury. So I feel like I have a lot to prove this year, and I like it that way. “You have a bad year, and suddenly no one thinks you’re a good player anymore. “You feel like you get forgotten a little bit,” said Muncy, who had a career-worst.
